Actress Vicki Zhao Wei, who has kept out of the public eye for months, has paired up with Donnie Yen for a photo spread in “Cosmopolitan,” which is available today online.
Zhao costars with Yen in the upcoming martial arts flick “14 Blades.” The two first worked together in Gordon Chan’s 2008 thriller “Painted Skin.”
The “14 Blades” production team also announced today that Zhao, who is the film’s female lead, has backed out of movie promotional activities because of personal reasons. The announcement has fueled widespread speculation about the rumored pregnancy of the actress. Zhao is reportedly staying in Singapore.
“14 Blades” will be released nationwide on Feb. 4. Other cast members and crew are busy traveling around China to promote the film.
