ICAC arrested 5 persons, including TVB Co. LTD’s general manager Stephen Chan, as they are involved in a corruption case.
ICAC stated that this time action made them put 5 people under arrest; among them were 4 staff members of a Television station suspected of corruption charges. And the last one is a director of an advertising company. (more…)

It may look like a publicity stunt when Malaysian singer Gary Chaw invited Justin Lo – whom he famously got into a drunken street fight last year – to be his guest in TVB’s music program My Story in Songs recently, but Chaw insisted that they are still the best of friends even after the incident. Amigo Chui’s assaulting ex-girlfriend Elizabete Kwong case has been troubling him for more than 2 months. He was eventually charged for the case and appeared again at Kwun Tong Magistracy yesterday for the trial wearing a black outfit. He denied the “assault occasioning actual bodily harm” (AOA) charges. According to the prosecution lawyer, the hearing will be adjourned to May 18th, where Elizabete will appear to testify in court. (more…)
