Nicholas Tse’s birthday is on August 29. To mourn the Hong Kongers who lost their lives in the hostage crisis, he asked assistant to wrote on Weibo last night, telling fans don’t come to his filming place to celebrate birthday for him: “On the 28th (lunar birthday) and 29th, can’t give him birthday gifts and cake. Don’t come to filming place. Can’t celebrate.”

TVB, ATV and iCable’s 3 TV stations held a Hong Kong wide memorial service for the Philippines tour bus hostage victims. Yesterday morning, TVB changed their logo to black and announced that a moment of silence will be held at 3pm at TVB City in Tseung Kwan O. Nearly a thousand artists (more…)

At the end of the11-hour hostage standoff in Philippine yesterday, 8 deaths of Hong Kongers are confirmed. Artistes all expressed their condolence and mourned the dead. Mourning ceremony is arranged in many public events today and attended artistes all wear plain and black clothing to express their condolence.

TVB new series “Can’t Buy Me Love” was premiered yesterday and received 36 points ratings. However, Broadcast Authority received 11 complaints, pointing it’s inappropriate for TVB to air a comedy. (more…)

Hong Kong actress Michelle Yim is rumoured to be planning to wed her late boyfriend, soccer player-turned-actor, Wan Chi-Keung, said Hong Kong media reports citing a source who claimed to be Yim’s close friend.
Wan died from nasopharyngeal cancer on February 16. He was 53. (more…)
