Nodame Cantabile stars Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi will be making their way to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong premiere of Nodame Cantabile Saishu Gakusho ~ Zenpen on the 27th. Trailers for part two of the film have already been released online. Fans are clearly pleased by the kiss scenes that are in store for the final movie. (more…)

Manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi revealed in the author’s notes of his 27th Hunter X Hunter manga volume, which shipped on December 25, that he and Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi had their second baby. Togashi added, “Before we knew it, the baby was already one year old.” (more…)

The January issue of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine has confirmed on Saturday that Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) creator Yoko Kamio is launching a new manga series in the March issue on February 13. (more…)

The following chart covers sales from November 17, 2008 to November 22, 2009. No new manga volume of Naoki Urasawa’s 20th Century Boys was released in 2009. However over 2.6 million more copies of the suspense manga were still sold on the strength of the ongoing movie trilogy. (more…)
