Manga Crayon Shin-Chan runs until Feb 2010

townhawk The December issue of Futabasha’s Monthly Manga Town magazine has announced on Thursday that the magazine will continue running new installments of the late Yoshito Usui’s Crayon Shin-Chan comedy manga until the March issue, which will ship on February 5, 2010. Authorities determined that Usui died from injuries sustained from a fall at Arafune Mountain on September 11. (more…)
Becky does “Shin-chan” theme

townhawk “Crayon Shin-chan” creator Yoshito Usui passed away last month, but TV Asahi is already continuing with the anime series. The show resumed last week, but on October 23, it will also feature a new opening theme song, performed by talento Becky (25).
The tune is called “Hapi Hapi,” with lyrics written by Becky herself. As a singer, Becky has already released several singles. Her debut song was “Soratobu Pokemon Kids” in 1999. (more…)
Body Identified as Crayon Shin-chan’s Yoshito Usui

townhawk On Sunday, authorities have identified the body discovered at Arafune mountain as that of missing Crayon Shin-chan manga creator Yoshito Usui through dental records. The body was discovered 120 meters below the mountain’s Tomoiwa cliff and reported at about 10:25 a.m. on Saturday by a climber. Usui’s backpack, camera, and other items had fallen about 50 meters away. Inside Usui’s backpack was his mobile phone, wallet, and clothes. (more…)
